Weiler - Project Management: Sales, Events &
Marketing Strategies
As
Founder of EduStrategies, Weiler leads a team of professionals
to implement PR, marketing strategies, workshops, sales
training, event management, and strategic account implementation.
Prior
to joining EduStrategies, Weiler was the VP of New Business
Development for CELT Corp., an information technology
architect and learning systems integrator focused exclusively
on K-12 leadership. Their track record for supporting
educational reform and IT needs in over 30 states includes
New York City, Boston, Detroit, Broward County, (Ft.
Lauderdale), Los Angeles, and Colorado Springs. Most
recently, Weiler was the driving sales force in bringing
the CCSSO/CELT Consortium to all 50 states. The goal
of the partnership between CCSSO and CELT was to create
the ATM of the Educational System; a national and statewide
decision support system architecture and procurement
program for NCLB readiness. Weiler’s true understanding
of educational systems continues to grow from her background
as a Reading Specialist and Masters in Education.
Weiler
was also the Director of New Business Development/Sales
for Advanstar Communications. She led Advanstar’s
e-Learning events division including such programs as
Learning and Training Week and TechLearn. Vendor support
for these two events included Microsoft, Oracle, Sun
Microsystems, and IBM. Her role of driving sales revenues
for each event was directed toward the target audience
of CLO’s and CIO’s.
As
Global Sponsorship Development Director for Giga Information
Group, a worldwide analyst’s organization, Weiler
designed and planned international events focused on
the IT industry. She trained international sales reps
and created a sales strategy that brought in over $4
million in new business revenues within one year.
As
VP of Sales and Marketing for the first privately owned
convention center The Meadowlands Convention Center,
she launched this facility nationally. The occupancy
rate was 95% and she worked with the newspapers, radio
and TV to market and sell the convention center.
Weiler
received a Bachelor’s degree in Education from
Lesley College and Master’s in Education from
Antioch.
